DM Tracker connects to Instagram through Meta's official API. Once your account is connected, your new DMs appear in DM Tracker automatically and you can reply to them right from your dashboard.
What you need
An Instagram Business or Creator account. Personal accounts cannot connect, this is an Instagram requirement.
If you still have a personal account, you can switch it to a professional account in the Instagram app under Settings > Account type and tools. Switching is free.
How to connect
In DM Tracker, go to Settings > Connections.
Click Connect Instagram.
Log in with the Instagram account you want to connect.
Review the permissions Instagram shows you and click Allow.
You will be sent back to DM Tracker. When you see your username and profile picture, the connection is active.
That's it. From this moment on, new messages arrive in your DM Tracker inbox within seconds.
What syncs
DM Tracker starts tracking from the moment you connect: New messages and new contacts sync automatically. Anyone who messages you after connecting appears in your inbox.
Using more than one Instagram account
Each organization in DM Tracker holds one Instagram connection. To connect a second account, create a new organization from the dropdown in the top-left corner of the app, then connect the other account there. You can switch between organizations with the same dropdown at any time.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect your account any time under Settings > Connections. Your existing contacts and follow-ups stay in DM Tracker, but new messages will stop syncing until you reconnect.
