You can reply to your Instagram DMs directly from DM Tracker. When and where you can send depends on one Instagram rule: the 24-hour window.
The rule in one sentence
After a contact sends you a message, you have 24 hours to reply from DM Tracker. This is Instagram's rule for every app built on the official Instagram API, not a DM Tracker limit.
A few things follow from it:
Contacts can always message you, at any time. There is no limit for them.
Every new message from a contact restarts your 24-hour window.
The window only applies to sending from DM Tracker. You can always reply from the Instagram app itself.
What you'll see in DM Tracker
Inside the window: the chat opens right in DM Tracker. Type your reply and send it, the contact receives it as a normal Instagram DM.
Outside the window, or the contact has never replied to you: sending from DM Tracker is not possible, so DM Tracker forwards you to Instagram to continue the conversation there. Anything the contact sends afterwards still lands in your DM Tracker inbox.
Coming soon: a longer window for support replies
Meta offers an extended window that lets human team members manually respond to open support questions for up to 7 days after the contact's last message. We are working on bringing this to DM Tracker. Until then, the 24-hour window applies.
Need more help?
Message us through the chat bubble in the app, we're happy to explain how the window applies to your case.
