DM Tracker uses a simple three-tier role system to control who can do what inside your organization. Understanding these roles helps you set up your team securely and ensure the right people have the right level of access.
The Three Roles
Owner
The Owner is the person who created the organization. There is exactly one Owner per organization.
Full access to every feature in DmTracker
Billing management -- can update payment methods, view invoices, change plans
Member management -- can invite, remove, and change roles for all members
Organization settings -- can modify all organization-level configuration
Cannot be removed from the organization. Ownership can only be transferred by contacting support.
Admin
Admins are trusted team leads or managers who need elevated permissions beyond day-to-day usage.
Member management -- can invite new members, remove existing members, and change roles (including changing other Admins' roles)
Organization settings -- can access and modify settings, pipeline stages, and tags
Full app usage -- same access to contacts, follow-ups, and analytics as Members
Cannot access billing -- only the Owner can manage billing and payment details
Member
Members are your sales reps, SDRs, and team contributors who use DM Tracker day-to-day.
Full app usage -- can track contacts, create and complete follow-ups, log outreach, and use all core features
Analytics -- can view their own stats and the team leaderboard
Cannot access organization settings, member management, or billing
How to Change a Role
Navigate to Settings > Members.
Find the person whose role you want to change.
Click the three-dot menu next to their name.
Select Change Role.
Pick the new role from the dropdown and confirm.
Only Owners and Admins can change roles. Admins can change roles for other Admins and Members.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have multiple Owners?
No. Each organization has exactly one Owner. If you need to transfer ownership, contact DM Tracker support.
Can an Admin remove another Admin?
Yes. Admins have full member management capabilities, including removing or changing the roles of other Admins.
Can a Member see other team members' contacts?
Yes. DM Tracker is a shared workspace. All team members can see the organization's contacts and follow-ups. Role permissions control access to settings, billing, and member management -- not contact visibility.
What happens if the Owner leaves the company?
Contact DM Tracker support to arrange an ownership transfer. The Owner role cannot be reassigned through the app interface.
